This scheme is for the new head offices of the Longhurst Group Housing Association. An existing site entrance (across a drainage ditch which are prevalent in this area) provides access to the new office accommodation and associated parking. The parking is divided by areas of windbreak planting which structure the site. These areas also form the basis for the sustainable drainage system.

The building is approached alongside lawns, a seating wall and pergola structures which direct you to the entrance. A specially commissioned sculpture will be sited by the entrance. A 'bridge' to the entrance doors crosses a water feature planted with wetland species. The biggest request from the client was for a family atmosphere so a deck, bbq & seating areas and a long walk around the site have been included.
