Plans for the redevelopment of a significant quarter of the historic city of Bath have been developing over several years. Livingston Eyre Associates joined the team of consultants to address and resolve the complex urban design issues generated by this scheme, which includes not only retail and residential accommodation but also includes the landscape immediately in front of the Listed Bath Spa Station and the new transport interchange building.
Working alongside two teams of architects, Livingston Eyre Associates proposed a sequence of public squares and spaces, connected by pedestrian routes. These spaces, carefully integrated within the urban grain of the city, have their own distinctive character. It is hoped that this new series of spaces will become a particularly attractive and enjoyable area of Bath.
