The practice were part of a team which won a competition to design a new nursery and community building, located within Firth Park, a Victorian public park on the outskirts of Sheffield.

The new building accommodates community facilities a cafe and exhibition space, four nursery classrooms, as well as training facilities for the local community.

The landscape design relates the new building to its setting, providing a welcoming entrance to the building and the park. Improvements were also made to the adjacent areas of the park creating an integrated resource for the local community.

A generous paved square, with tree planting, places to sit, and bicycle parking, links to the main entrance of the new building. In front of the building there are further places to sit, flanked by planted beds. The square links to routes into the park, where there are new lawns, paths, area of display planting, and seating, as well as a café terrace with views over the park.
