This was one of the last working wharves in London. It lies on the west of the Isle of Dogs overlooking the reach of the Thames to Tower Bridge.

The design encompasses both hard and soft landscape to two new Riverside apartment blocks. Private gardens, a public riverside walkway and a small urban square have been created. The site itself has presented the design team with a number of complex technical issues, related in particular to its history of contamination, the steeply sloping ground, and the need for car parking beneath the podium deck at a level below the adjacent high tide level.
