



The practice won an open competition with the architects for a visitor building on top of the white cliffs of Dover and were very much involved, at this stage, in analysing the landscape and siting the building.
During later stages Livingston Eyre Associates was responsible for designing the external works including the grass roof.
A ring of exposed aggregate concrete ‘seats’ set in a gravel surface provides an inexpensive and effective gathering space at the entrance to the visitor centre and the start of the walk along the cliffs.
